Well-chamfered Aluminum handles are comfortable to hold.
The handle scales sport a matt powder-coated finish, resistant to wear and tear.
The CNC machined pattern on the aluminum handle not only adds visual interest but also enhances the grip, ensuring a secure and comfortable hold during use.

Nitro-V blade steel offers excellent in-class corrosion resistance and toughness and is easy to sharpen.

Great knife, love the shape and feel...

I already had a button lock Racoon with the satin blade, and I love the look and feel almost everything about it other than the loose feeling when the blade is swinging up or down. There is no play when it's extended or retracted but in the middle just feels loose. That is my only gripe with that one...

Now this one is a kind of the opposite; When it arrived the blade was quite stiff to flip out and the crossbar lock is firm to retract. I know it comes with a replacement spring and I know it's adjustable, just the initial feel of the knife was more difficult than I had been used to and expected.
That said it's wearing in nicely, the blade is super sharp from the box and the knife feels amazing in the hand. The surface of the aluminum is nicely dusted so that it's not at all slippery and the handle is really nice to hold, and using the knife is a delight. I have another crossbar non-aluminum handle on the way, which tells you how much I enjoy the Racoon knife in general, and the crossbar lock!!

I would highly recommend these knives to anyone and everyone and when I can get my hands on the rear liner lock model I will hopefully get one of them too.

I only give a 4 star because I can't give higher without being a 5 and I have had the slight frustration with the smoothness of the action so would be disingenuous to give a 5.

Not a trash Raccoon

Completely understand why everybody loves this knife in all the different variations. It's a great and useful knife.

A total surprise.

The finish and grip of the scale are amazing, the crossbar is a bit stiffer than I'm used to but that increases the feeling of safety. Excellent sharpening from the factory. Very pleased with the purchase.
