WELL-CONSTRUCTED BLADE

The Raccoon features a 3.25’’ drop point blade with simple geometry. 14C28N blade steel offers excellent in-class corrosion resistance and toughness and is easy to sharpen. A 3 to 1 blade length and width ratio, a nice belly, and a comfortable choil make the Raccoon an excellent choice for everyday carry use.

CROSS-BAR LOCK

The Raccoon sports cross-bar lock that is well-packed solid construction. You can fully enjoy this ambidextrous design. Combined with its dual thumb-studs deployment and a well-tuned detent, the Raccoon can be opened and closed with a silky smooth action.

FANTASTIC HANDLE ERGOS

The 4.36-inch-long handle offers a decent grip and an excellent blade-to-handle ratio. The well-chamfered Micarta makes the handle a joy to hold and the handle shape is great for both normal grip and choke-up grip. It comes with a reversible pocket clip, the height of the clip is increased to accommodate thicker jeans/pants.

READY FOR EDC ADVENTURE

In many cultures, raccoons are viewed as playful tricksters and are known for their resourcefulness, curiosity, and adaptability. You will enjoy having this fun, reliable, and pragmatic Raccoon with you. The Raccoon will be an awesome team member for your EDC adventure and galaxy-guarding tasks.

Sweet little daily driver

I have way too many knives and the crossbar lock version is my second Raccoon. I have really enjoyed the bottom lock version of the Raccoon for a while and wanted to try the crossbar version for a more robust lock. However, I find that the finger choil on the bottom lock version is much better and rounded. I must admit that I had no idea that it was a different shape of the choil on the two versions and the edges and shape of the choil on the crossbar version makes it difficult to enjoy and use the knife as much as I do with the bottom lock version.

Over all it is still a good knife and I will see if I can modify the choil in order to get a better grip on the knife.

Great Knife

What a great knife! The overall quality is great. Love the micarta handle and the easy to sharpen steel. And because it is a softer steel I will need to sharpen more frequently, so it makes sense that there is plenty of space behind the cutting edge before the handle gets thicker. Also it is very fidgety, the ball bearings make it very smooth to open and shut, which is a thing I critizise in the not so fidget friendly Ankylo.
