THE BLADE
The Thunderbird is equipped with a 3.25” Elmax blade with a compound grind. Elmax is a high-end stainless steel and is known for its excellent balance of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention.
Traditional Tantō has superior piercing performance, and the tip is further reinforced by a harpoon structure.
Shallow compound hollow grind for slicing performance and edge stability.
Straight fuller offers a sleek yet sophisticated appearance.

The Thunderbird Trek Lock is probably the most refined and highly developed button or plunge lock on the market. All the lock components are inside the blade protected from dirt and debris and the acoustics are muted and solid like a luxury car door. The action is so slick and positive that it takes barely any effort for all of the deployment options. The Trek Lock allows for proper front and back flipper tabs and the fantastic blade hole is instantly recognizable as Vosteed. This knife uses premium materials from one end to the other. Black Elmax and black frag titanium are flashy and subtle at the same time. I have been carrying this knife since the day it arrived and I see no reason to change.

Very nice and fidgety. Sharp blade. Scale texture gives a good grip.
I really love the knife and it works smooth and efficient. The blade steel is great. I only have one small issue. I’m left handed and while trying to switch the clip around the filler for clip on the left side is really difficult to remove to swap the clip to that side and don’t want to damage the knife handle trying to pry it out. The knife works great other wise.
This is the knife that I made me fall in love with Vosteed. Was very excited to see this more premium option. Great fit and finish and so fidgety!
