The Akita is a very well designed and made knife, fits and finishes are top, action is fluid, the lock is strong and the blade shape is very nice. Ergonomics are also very good. It has this great look, with textured aluminum scales and good color combination. The only criticism I have is I think they could have made the blade a couple mm longer: there is enough space in the handle and the look would be more proportionate.
This has a really nice blade shape. The handles are great I have sun ray version and love the worn paint. I like the size it's not too big or small. I prefer the top liner lock for a medium size knife the vanchour lock seems a bit oversized for the knife. The pocket clip seems to be re-designed I prefer the standard clip. I don't like the raised screws on the pocket clip they haven't snagged on my pocket however it would be better if they were counter sunk. Overall it's a good knife that I will regularly use but it ain't a show stopper.
I had such high hopes for this swivel lock, but when open this one is very loose front to back. Not just a little but a lot. I hope they are not all like this. Am returning.
Beautiful mid sized EDC. The action is butter smooth, fit and finish is absolutely top notch, blade is razor sharp out of the box and the vanchor lock passes multiple spine whacks. This is officially my new favorite all around EDC. It'll be with more often than the rest of my collection (and I have a lot of knives). Well done Vosteed, absolute banger.
