Shilin Cutter is a time-honored Taiwanese knife style, the earliest record dates back to almost 200 years ago. Rooted in agricultural and farming practices, the wide blade on the Shilin Cutter® allows for efficient cutting and slicing through different materials such as wood, stems, leaves, carton boxes, paper, tubes, and cables.
Ergonomic Excellence
Different from our Nightshade, the Shilin Cutter employs a wider and more contoured handle that will offer extra grip and control, as well as a natural fit for big hands.
The blade cutting edge drops downward creating a negative blade angle, which allows the blade cutting edge to lower than the user's index finger so the wrist is in alignment. It is comfortable when you use the knife for a long period of time, it requires less pressure to be applied by your wrist.
Patented Vanchor Lock®
Our 2-in-1 locking system combines a pivot and button, allowing for a safe and intuitive way to operate the knife.
The Vanchor lock integrates a magnetic connector and a robust lock plate, working together to ensure both stability and reinforcement. Additionally, the lock's design guarantees that the pivot/button remains recessed, regardless of the lock's engagement, for seamless operation and a sleek appearance.

Ive bought s lot of Cold tees knifes recently. This and the Marteen have stood out to me, as well as the Mini Nightshades. But this one takes 1st place. The lock on these are amazing tho mine came a little tight. After some adjustments and lube it was under smooth the wider blade makes it an excellent slicer and the angle isn't as acute as the other Nightshades, giving it excellent utility. Something else that's awesome is Kizer Ti pocket clips fit them perfectly, see pic below. Kizer might be the OEM.

I have a mini nightshade and I love it, but this is an awesome upgrade. The blade shape improves almost every cutting task. I don't have a full size Nightshade, never a big fan of the liner lock, but the Vanchor lock is very impressive. I have an Ankylo with the Vanchor lock and love to see it on another model. Many have attempted a pivot lock, but it usually doesn't work well enough to make it on another knife. It doesn't surprise me that Vosteed was the first to perfect it. Vosteed just keeps the hits coming. When I pick out a knife to carry every morning, it's often a Vosteed. Their top liner lock is the best execution of that design I have tried. They improved on the Nightshade by implementing the Vanchor lock & an Elmax blade. The aluminum scales have a texture that actually makes aluminum grippy. I can't wait to see what they do next!
Great little knife, just wish it was bigger. Would be great to see this in an 8" version for those of us with larger hands.
